Practical Tailoring Skills for Livelihood Development
In 2026, Matrix Algebra CBO implemented tailoring training as part of its practical skills-development activities for young people, women and other community members.
Participants were trained in basic sewing, garment making, clothing repair, taking measurements, and the use and maintenance of sewing machines. The training enabled participants to develop practical skills that can support them in starting small tailoring businesses or seeking employment within the garment industry.
Through the programme, Matrix Algebra CBO continues to promote practical skills development as a pathway towards self-reliance, employment and improved livelihoods within the community.
